Hi there,
I am a PR holder (card expired, landing document misplaced) I work in Toronto and am in the process of finishing my application to renew my PR Card..
I want to host my friend from NY at my place, and have provided her with my "invitation letter" per the canada visa requirements for visitors. Unfortunately, my PR card is expired, and I cannot find my landing document. would there be an issue with my expired card as proof of my status in Canada?
I am employed and well settled, and so is she. She has a great job to back to... the trip is just for a week. Please advise if my expired PR card is going to be a problem. If yes, is there a way to explain it on the application? It is just too short notice to get a new one before her visit during American thanksgiving.
Thanks!!
