Hi All,

I just wanted to confirm or at least get additional advise if I am on the right path for applying under the CEC category.

I have read through and gone through the wizards as well, it says I am eligible and overall I get the points calculated around 477 but with including 3 years of work experience , it shows up as : 501.

Here is my current status:

Education:

  • B.E ( Engineering - 4 Years ) (WES certificate already present - Done from India):
Post graduation Diploma in Information Tech. (2 years)

Age: 31

Marital Status: Single

IELTS: I am going to re-write this as my previous one is expired: (S: 8.5 / R: 7.5 / L: 7.5 / W: 7.0) <-- My Previous scores.

Work Experience:

Canadian Full Time Experience: 1 year (NOC - B - IT Help Desk Analyst)
Experience from Home Country:
  • 2 year and 3 months - (Worked as a Technical Consultant / SaaS Administrator - NOC - A) | Should fall under "2171 Information systems analysts and consultants" - I do have the Experience letter with the Phone number of the HR , but the experience letter is 3 years old.

  • 1 year and 2 months - ( Game Software Tester "Executive Tester" - ) - I know "2173 Software engineers and designers" may not completely fill this role.

I do have the Experience letter with the Phone number of the Office signed by the CEO itself , but the experience letter is 3 years old.

So I am sort of not sure on this whether I can show the experience as a Executive Tester part of it and I have also read that on the website

"ii. In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have?
It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B)."

So the above line, "only in one occupation" kinda infers Technical consultant and Executive Tester would be 2 different categories. Thus I wont be able to show the experience as 3 years thus I can show only 2 years is what it looks like.

Addition to that, I see that we have to get the Police Check and Medical done again? I have never left Canada since I came here for my Study and Work permit. since 2013- December.

My (PGWP) Work Permit expires on 2019 - Jan.

Thanks in advance if anyone could advise on this.

Thanks and Regards,
