Most of the south indians can speak more than 1 language other than their mother tongue and 80% of them SPEAK HINDI..!! Can I ask, HOW MANY OF NORTH INDIANS CAN SPEAK ATLEAST ONE SOUTH INDIAN LANGUAGE? Baat karna tho chodo atleast samaj sakth he? I cud understand what he told even though it was punjabi..!! Aaap ne aagar ye bolke chod diya hotha ki "yaar ye public forum he tho english use karega tho behethar hoga" , tho bhi teek tha..!! Please dont generalize things from ur limited knowledge..!! No offence Meant..!!
LOL
Dude, don't get hyper..and start a regional war over here.. READ MY POST CAREFULLY. I SAID:"
aur kai bandey jaise kee South ke.. East ke, Punjabi toh chhaddo, Hindi bhi nahi aati." Yes, I talked in a generalized sense.. KAI BANDEY...that meant... MANY of the people from South, East (including NE) parts of India.. don't understand or speak Hindi..(I DID NOT SAY ALL..OR SAAREY) and he shd 've written in English. That doesn't mean I'm trying to prove any of my knowledge (limited or whatever)..
Regarding your claim that among people of those regions 80% speak Hindi..is bull*censored word*..dude you got to 1st check your limited knowledge.... you must be talking about big cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata etc. Go to ACTUAL South..interior..rural areas..small towns..majority of population cannot speak or even understand Hindi. And go to North eastern states of Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram... you won't even find people of main cities forget..speak..even understand Hindi. Go to Tamil Nadu...it's capital Chennai... you speak Hindi to common people there..and you will realize.. what a wrong choice of tongue it is..you will be met with displeasure, predicament and even to an extent... clear irritation and anger, obviously because of their fierce pride in their ancient language of Tamil.
Yes, Hindi speaking North Indians..don't speak other languages, because they think..Hindi is more than enough.
Yes, Hindi is our national language..and we respect it... and majority of people speak or understand it (that's the reason it's been made the national language)... but your are here being so naive by thinking..that 80% people of other far off regions of India understand it and/or there are no regionalism or fierce pride of regional languages among people... if you think so..then you are wrong my friend. You are totally living in a delusion... forget far off languages of South or North-East..there's even strong regional language pride in nearby regions such as Maharashtra (for marathi manoos by political groups such as MNS), Punjabi in Punjab and other states! Most of us have pride in our own regional language! Some understand Hindi naturally coz it's very nearby to their regional language..and some don't or find it difficult coz it's far off..that's it.. Come out and see the truth.... No offence...
