I am currently in Canada on an Lmia that expires shortly. I have applied for Visitor visa from inside Canada to extend my stay. It then came to my attention that I could apply for a work visa through my spouse, which I did.
As it stands I now have two different visas being processed in my account at the same time. One for a visitor visa (which was made on April 17th) and one for a work permit (which was made on May 2nd)
My worry is that two applications being in at the same time is going to cause issues with my application
Do I need to withdraw the visitor visa application for my work visa application to be processed?
Also if neither visa is processed before my LMIA expires, does that mean I will be on implied status until a decision is made?
Thank you for your help.
