Hello,
My GF has previously been issued a Multiple Entry TRV to Canada and on her last visit she attended some short-term English classes. The duration of her studies was 16 weeks (about 4 months) which I understand she did not require a Student Visa for. After finishing her courses, and her stay in Canada she returned to her home country to comply with the terms of her TRV.
It's been 4 months since she returned home and now we wish for her to enter Canada for another visit. During this time we would like her to take an additional 12 weeks (3 months) of short-term English classes.
I am a little confused on the rules of short term studies in regards to multiple entries. In order to study without a Student Visa the rules state that the program must be less than 6 months and completed within the time of her authorized stay. Do these rules 'reset' if she leaves Canada and returns for another visit? ie. the first time she complied and studied less than 6 months and left at the end of her authorized stay. If she returns can she study for up to another 6 months and leave at the end of her authorized stay? OR Can there only be a cumulative total of 6 months study throughout all her combined visits on the TRV?
Any insight would be appreciated.
