Multiple questions regarding Indian PCC and PR -> Citizenship

Hi there.. I just got a new ITA (after my last one was rejected as it was considered incomplete due to a missing Indian PCC - which wasn't missing..whoever reviewed my file didn't scroll to page 2). So a couple of questions...background: We are in the USA right now.

1. I came to USA in 2008 and went back once in 2011 (for a month). Since then I haven't gone to India. We (me and my spouse) got our Indian PCCs from SFO Consulate in September 2016 (last year). Am I correct in assuming that I do not need to apply for a new Indian PCC, since I haven't travelled to India?

2. Indian PCC's from SFO consulate (for both me and my spouse) are a very generic PCC's that sate the following:
"Consulate General of India certified that there is no adverse information in respect of <My name> holder of Indian Passport No <123123> issued at <xyz> on <date> for the period they stayed in India which will render them ineligible for the grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada. Signed by someone in green ink.

They also stamped our passports saying that PCC's were issued.
Does this work?

3. The PR application has both me and my spouse. I'll be moving and settling down in Canada immediately whereas she will return back to USA for her job here in the States. Given the she will be traveling back and forth between USA and Canada, she may not be able to meet the 2 out of 5 year requirement for PR renewal. Whereas I will be staying there for 3 years and applying for citizenship. In such a scenario, would my PR renewal and citizenship application be affected? Also incase she doesn't meet the 2 our of 5 year requirement and ends up losing her PR, will I be able to sponsor her PR later on?

1 & 2 you are correct that you don't need a PCC. But as I mentioned in the other thread of yours, the PCC text is so ambiguous that one could misunderstand your passport issuance as period of stay. I got PCC from NY consulate and it doesn't have text like this.

Why not apply a fresh one and see if they have changed their verbatim ? It's easy to get one from embassy.

Sponsoring is fine. Only thing is relinquishing current pr and then getting sponsored for new one.. I have heard that it's such a complicated process, and you might spend some energy getting that route work.

@DEEPCUR, I did see that response... I'll create a new post and see if the language has changed since last year. If not..I guess I'll have to write it in the letter of explanation.
