Multiple entry Visa for parents

Hi,
I am in Canada on work permit (not PR )valid till Jan-2015. my parents want to apply multiple entry visitor visa from india to visit me.
- Are they eligible to do so. As I am inviting them and i, myself having valid status upto Jan-2015 only ?
- What is the validity of multiple entries visa in general.

1. Sure they are eligible to apply, no guarantee that it will be issued.
2. They will have to prove that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and demonstrate strong ties to India.
3. Anywhere from 1-10 years. But if your parents don't have a history of travel, they may only get a single entry and it is unlikely to be valid after 01/15.
