Hi,
Is it possible to to be a dual citizen (of two other countries) and obtain Canadian citizenship (as a 3rd citizenship) or does the law on dual citizenship stipulate that only 2 citizenships (including the Canadian one) is accepted? Thanks for any responses on this topic.

Canada does not care how many other citizenships you have. One of the other countries where you have citizenship might care but you would have to look into the law there. There are people walking around in this world with 3 or 4 passports legally but I think more than that is uncommon.
