No , I dont think that was any reason .. There is a Policy n Procedures written for such transfers in my company ..
I only need to have completed 6 months in my current role n be A rated .. Thats it
So, try finding out in ure company thru some HR / Business HR contacts unofficially , if something like this is possible. The other option is , If ure companies HR policies r available on the intranet, go thru them .. Third option is , if u r close to some senior , ask them to find out for u.

Your US employer can transfer you for a temporary assignment (with USCIS permission N-470) so you will keep your residency and eventually apply for citizenship.
