maybe you are worth keeping than accepting your resignation.anushauc said:Yes.. It is possible .. I spoke with my company n they r ready to do it .. Just that the position has to be available then ...
It was amazing how helpful they were
ok thanks! once my application is approve I will start asking HR about company transfer.anushauc said:No , I dont think that was any reason .. There is a Policy n Procedures written for such transfers in my company ..
I only need to have completed 6 months in my current role n be A rated .. Thats it
So, try finding out in ure company thru some HR / Business HR contacts unofficially , if something like this is possible. The other option is , If ure companies HR policies r available on the intranet, go thru them .. Third option is , if u r close to some senior , ask them to find out for u.
Yes, friend of mine who works for IBM was transferred to Canada.... Spend few months and came back to US. Same is true for one of my neighbor who works for Conocophilips, was transfered on L1 and doing just fine.Mari_cnd said:Anyone here currently working in an international co. requested for a transfer to branch ofc in Canada?!?

Yes you can. as long as your company assigns you to another place meaning it has been the canadian company who transfered you to another country for work.Mari_cnd said:hi commonwealth thanks for your reply! what do you mean spend few months working in IBM, canada.... so you mean while on PR & waiting for citizenship you can go & work outside canada?!?

In my understanding, he was referring to TWP or temporary working visa while his PR applicaiton is in process.Mari_cnd said:thanks for all the replies......
