Can somebody please help me with my questions...really need help
I have done my bachelors in mechanical engineering and wish to pursue a good (probably short ) course in canada that will give me good job opportunities .

1. should i go for a masters or a PG diploma ( which would have better job prospect)
2. I have been advised to go for project management ( again hows the market for this one???)
3. Is there a diploma for something in petroleum coz im assuming it will have good scope \

PLease help me out with this one

Awaitng your replies..thanks

Hello,

Masters has a better job prospect over post graduate diploma. I would encourage this. The only thing is that it is ususally longer.
Masters is usually 2 years.

Project management is a good one. There is also an exam for project management that once you complete. It has a high return on investment and I think if you consider the time it takes, the return on investment is more than masters degree. I would say yes to this.

In terms of petroleum, I dont know anything much about that industry.

Thank you,

I am looking for same.. for which universities u r applying?

both are good courses but as you already done your engineering degree masters degree is better choice for you both for job prospectus and visa.

Hi Guys,

I'm also loooking for Post graduate Project Mangment certificate program (and after that want to complete PMP cert), for which I've received LOA from Centennial college for Jan 2012 sem.

Below is my profile:
SSC in 2001 with 80.26%
HSC in 2003 with 79.50%
B.E. in Instrumentation (passout in 2007) with 69 % (First class with Distinction)
After completing my BE I joined IT industry ( As i was inteetsed in programming)in july 2007 and since then working....
IELTS Score 7.0

I've read most of the post from this forum and came to know about Study mismatch causing VISA rejections.

Will you please suggest on VISA chances for my profile? If loan is sanctioned planning for SPP else general procedure.

Thank you very much in advance.

RN, i guess u do not have a thorough understanding of the job market in Canada these days! In fact, a Masters degree may be a hindrance at times, especially for one without work experience! In fact, the employment rate for Diploma holders with good technical skills are more employable in Canada in many provinces now, this is a developed country, not developing country like many in Asia. The job market is entirely different from India, Bangaldash or any of those developing countries where the higher educated the better or more employable u are! Get this clear before any advice is rendered without substantial proof or Canadian job market knowledge!

in my opine you should have to continue your study for Ms. let me ask you, how can I come to Canada for learn and job, I want to come to Canada please help me.
