Hello guys!
First of all - this forum is very informative and helpful.
I am currently in my final year (5th semester) of MCA (from Panjab University). My profile is:
MCA - Panjab University - ~71% (pursuing)
BSc - NM (with Maths/Physics/CS) - Panjab University - 63%
10+2 - (PCM with CS) - 73%
10th - 83%
IELTS is not an issue.
My primary goal is settle in Canada and apply for PR after work permit (via PGWPP). I have three options :
1. MS in CS
2. Graduate diploma / certificate (like those given by Humber college)
3. Advanced Diploma
Now, for MS, I believe that most of the universities are research oriented and their acceptance is fairly low. I am considering MS (course-work/project) from fairly decent university like York, Regina, Carleton or Victoria; but I am unsure regarding my acceptance, with the above profile.
Now for the other two options, I assume colleges will accept me, but I am unsure about:
1. Whether Diploma from Canadian Institute + Masters from Indian University will suffice for getting a job in Toronto/Vancouver area (for I consider living in either BC/Ontario).
2. Whether these diplomas are eligible for PGWPP.
In short, what do you suggest?
