Hi all, I need suggestions!

I am living in winnipeg from past ONE year and working full time. I am planning to sponsor my brother who is in India and has 5+ years full time work experience as Restaurant Manager and CLB score 7 but he is getting his point score between 560-570 and which I think isn’t enough to put an application. I have questions:

1) How can he get those extra 75 points from his work experience as he is only getting 100 points out of total 175.

2) I don’t have any issue in moving out of winnipeg and live in some rural area. What rural area do you think will be good for living and is not that far from the winnipeg city if I want to commute to work too!! If anyone of you have recently or previously moved for the same reason so that you can also claim extra 50 points, please advise me.

thank you!!

For his work experience, the maximum the most he can have is 75 points. To get the last 100 points, he would need to have an occupation that can be fully recognized by provincial licensing body. This doesn't apply to restaurant managers - they aren't licensed - so no way for him to get those points unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply! Oh ok; i was trying to find if his profession is eligible to claim the remaining 100 points! So that I could approach to that provincial licensing body in winnipeg to find out!!

No - his profession unfortunately does not qualify for the 100 points.

hmm right. I was thinking to improve his score bit better than to be on the edge. So, I was looking for a rural place accommodation for rent closer to the winnipeg city as if I stay in city then I have to renew my apartment lease for another Year.
