MPNP-PR-question about applying for university

Hi all,

I am apparently waiting for DM on my PNP-PR application. My process is below,
Application Received May 02, 2019
AOR June 06, 2019
MR Oct 21, 2019
I am thinking to apply to the university for next Jan 2021, and the due date to submit the application for that intake is Aug 01, 2020. Given the covid-19, I understand my PR application would realistically take more than normal processing time to finalize it. I wonder is this okay to apply to shool while waiting for PR? I am not going to take any actions regarding to school application, and I simply just withdraw or reject it if by the time I do not have PR.

Edit: I already contact school admission to explain my situation, and they told me to apply as international student. And when I have it, notify them.

There is no reason you couldn't apply for university. It won't affect your PR process in any way, if that's what you're asking.

Yes. If I don’t apply this intake, I might have to wait until next year to apply. I kind of want take a shot even though there is high chance I would not have PR by Jan 2021.
