So I'm wondering, is this possible? Our application was just received by the CPC yesterday. With our lease ending soon we may be moving (possibly out of state?) to wait out the remainder of our application. Is this not advised? Are we able to change our address that was put down on our application? If we move I wouldn't want any important letters going to our old address. I know USPS has a service where they will hold packages for you for a set amount of time, so maybe I could to that to be sure it doesn't get delivered to the wrong address.

what stream was the application submitted under? "in family class" aka inland or "family class" aka outland?

I'm the sponsor, a Canadian citizen. My husband is a US citizen and we are living together in Florida. We may move but aren't sure how we could notify the CPC in charge of our application. I wouldn't want us to move and not receive any letters regarding our application.

it's not an issue at all. assuming the applicant is not trying to "move" to canada until approved for pr. otherwise, you both can be anywhere in the world during processing. they may require you to provide more proof of settlement plans, but it's generally not an issue.

once you receive your aor and sponsor approval letter, you'll be able to send a case specific enquiry with your new address information. 1 or both of the letters will provide instructions if you need to update your information. a mailing address is not necessary until they are ready to send the approval paper. everything else is sent by email. you will want to definitely make sure the address is changed before that point, otherwise it will be sent to the mailing address the applicant listed in the application.

This also concerns me. My lease is up in August 2017 and we are sending our paperwork/applications off Thursday morning of this week. My wife (the Canadian sponsor, whom lives in Canada), her address will not change - only mine here in the US (the applicant). Is everything via e-mail, or do they send something to the actual address too?

I know it says 12 months, we're hoping by getting the medical and PCC done up front and included with our application + using new forms, we will have this done and completed within 8 months but who knows. We made sure to triple check everything to avoid delays.
