Moving to Quebec?

What happens if while the sponsorship process is ongoing the sponsor changes provinces?
I'm asking since there is a possibility that we might be moving to QC.

If we decide on moving (nothing is certain yet) then is it better to wait till after the sponsorship approval is done, or it won't make a difference? Do we have to obtain the CSQ at that time? If it is too much hassle, is it advisable not to move at all?

Like I said, nothing is certain yet- I'm just thinking ahead. Knowing these will help up make an informed decision on the job opportunity front!

i know that quebec requires its own forms etc, so be very very care full before you make that move... consult cic about it, dont go on he says she says, get direct info from them be it ur current cic office or one from quebec as to what the implications will be once you move to quebec midway during the sponsor case. and best of luck.

If you decide to go to any province OTHER than Quebec, the federal process stays the same and the process continues. Quebec has it's own process so it's a whole different ball game and you'll need a CSQ and to comply with their requirements.

I would decide up front if you are going to Quebec or not so you go down the correct path.

We just applied, and for now we want to stay in BC. I guess I am trying to think too much ahead, but I am worried that the process will take longer and longer: the sponsorship approvals, for example is taking longer now than 3-4 months ago, and with all the budget cuts and centers closing.
Our VO will be Ankara, which seems to one of a fastest. But recently a portion of files from Damascus got transferred to Ankara, and no one has yet mentioned how much of delay this will cause.

So, in short, I am just worried, because I know in the next 6-9 months we won't be moving. But we might have to after that. So I just want to make sure we are not in for bad surprises down the road.

Then, worse-comes-to-worse, consider switching from BC to any province except Québec
