Can anyone help me?
I'm want to move to Canada permanently. I've been in the army for 6 years and have a level 3 engineering nvq. My girlfriend's a self employed graphic designer. I've been over there 3 times and have worked there for 14 months in total with the army.

I'm wanting to get my snowboarding instructors course done in banff and then teach on the hill for a few seasons. Then get an mechanical job in the future.

My question is. How do I go about this? I've spent weeks looking at websites trying to find the right visa. I haven't been offered a job yet (although they guarantee employment after training) and as my girlfriends self employed..

Does anyone have any advise on the best way to go about this?

Job offers are next to impossible to secure since employers have to go through the long and expensive LMIA process in order for you to be able to apply for a work permit. (Note that you would also need a work permit to teach snowboarding - you can't do that as a visitor.)

Best option is to apply to apply to immigrate. Once you are a permanent resident, no work permit is needed to work. See the link that's been provided to you above for PR application options.
