correct, not sure if scarborough is considered safe or not, but i have been living here for 1 year, i guess it is safe.

Bit harsh but yes, I'd agree. Dude you are going to Canada, you should get to know Canadians first. This'll help you get out of your safe zone and encourage you to converse in English, besides it's nice to get familiarized with Canadian culture if you want to live there. Moreover, it'll help you to establish contacts with them.
