I have received my Canadian PR.
Now i am thinking about whether to leave job & go or wait for getting job in Canada from india.
Me & my wife work MNC it companies and we have total take home salary of INR 1.78 lakhs per month.
However we are able to save 6 lakh per annum , because of home & car loans etc.
We have two kids 6 & 1 year old.
Our reason to move to canada was to have a better life and save more money.

I have worked in Toronto in 2006 for 8 months through Indian IT company.

Please suggest , we are very confused on how to proceed.
Main reason is Risk of leacing current job and starting from sctrach in Canada.

Hi Duttji,

You are very true that leaving present jobs would be very difficult. As per your statement you have good money. But you had applied for PR Visa for better quality of life. You have also worked and lived there and you may be having some idea about Canada. You should take leave and once visit Canada, stay there for 2-3 months and after watching your prospects you can decide whether to stay there or come back. By this way you can keep your PR Visa alive for 3 yrs.

Good Luck.

OK, but try to get leave for as much time as possible. Take your family there and let them see for themselves. If they like it OK, otherwise you can always come back.

There are 2 persons earning ( you and your spouse) in your family. You both visit Canada for just 1 month. Ask you spouse to try to settle in canada, take her 6 months to understand canadian job markets.

When she settle ( take home, get good job, meet good friends, know good IT companies etc.), you jump on Canadian IT industries and leave India permanently.

Hello There,

I can understand your situation. When I had applied almost 4 years back, things couldnt have been better. My wife didnt understand whats the point of applying. However, in the last 2 years, things have changed so much in Dubai that we now look forward to the final approval every week :)

On the other hand, when my BIL applied, he wanted to go the same week if he could. but by the time he got is PR, he is so stable that he is relenquishing but not going; he is however sending his family there. I would therefore suggest that you or your wife, sacrifice the current job and one of you go there and settle down. easier said then done; but I would not advise you to relenquish it, you dont know what is in store in the future. Having said this, I wish you and your family the very best.

My suggestion will be to stay here till you have visa expiry date work and earn some more certifications that can add up to your qualification so that they make you more acceptable to international market and once the date comes you will have more certificates and then you can land in Canada.

Yes the amount seems to be good as compared to other income group but would still suggest you to move to Canada due to other reasons. In India the incomes disparity will rise and increase year on year....creating more differences among people which is very very wrong. This is just my thought and opinion. I know it is very difficult to take a decision in such a situation but think 10 years ahead.

Yes it is true that you might have to start from scratch but there are many stories of success which people have shared. Give it a pump and come to Canada
Best wishes.

I am sure, being an IT expert you gonna rock in Canadian IT industry.

Now you and your spouse earn in Indain currencies. Canada pay you all in CAD.

The kind of profession you are in at this point of time, you must not bother about a professional IT job in Canada. You surely gonna get it within very short while.

All the best.

Here there r scores of people praying , fasting etc to get that long awaited Visa. And there u r who cannot make up your mind whether to go.
Its sounds funny. When u applied you have to calculate each and everthing and then make up your mind rather than putting so much efforts and money and later pondering on this issue. It is your personal choice to stay or go. If u feel it is not worthwhile just say loudly MERA BHARAT MAHAAN and tear that visa. :-\ :-\ :-\

This 101% right. We wait for this maple leaf for months and when we receive it on our PP we are in dilemma. It is but natural that where we have grown up, studied, made friends, struggled to get desired jobs and because of our kids circle, it becomes very difficult to take that hard decision to leave our mother country. This feeling comes only when you receive PR Visa in your hand.
