Hi...i am from India and applied for the PR under Express entry FSW class. I have received the COPR and the Visa stamped on my passport on 26th July'17. The expiry date of visa is 21st Mar'2018. There is one situation however on which i want some clarity on.
My wife is pregnant and it was informed to the case officer at the time of submitting my application in Mar'17. Her delivery date is somewhere in the month of Aug'17. Pls suggest on how to proceed further to have my new born to get a Visa too and how to manage the timings as we will not be able to travel with the baby immediately. Listing few options below that i can think of. Would be great if i can be guided on which is the best one.
Option 1 - Apply for baby's visa from India itself and wait till it is issued. In this case will our already issued visas be cancelled? Hope we will not have to start afresh in that case?
Option 2 - I first fly to Canada, get the PR card and apply for baby's sponsorship. Hopefully this all can be done before the expiry of my wife's visa i.e 21st Mar'2018? Can i alone sponsor a child? How long does it take to sponsor someone?
Option 3 - Both of us travel and take the baby on a visitor visa. Apply for a sponsorship before the travel visa expires. Can we get the travel visa extended if it expires before the sponsorship formalities are done?
