We are planning to move from san francisco US to Toronto. We have PR from Canada.

I am wondering if you can share your experience and thoughts:

1. We are considering moving our furniture and kitchen appliances with us. Any suggestion on how to cost effectively do that.
2. If we consider shipping, what address should we give to ship your household items? Can we give CBSA warehouse address? http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/warehousing-entreposage-eng.html.
3. Another option is to move furniture ourself. Is it advisable to drive cross country with 6 an 2 year old.
4. Here are our reasons why we might not want to consider not moving household goods and buying them in Canada. Let us know if we might not be making wise decision.
a. We have bought furniture recently and reselling might not be economical.
b. We have to consider total cost as: potentially selling the furniture for free , plus renting a furnished apartment when we move to Toronto, plus then moving to normal apartment and then cost and hassle of buying all furnitures again.

Congratulations on your move.
Now to your questions.
1) Since u r moving from west end, and you know how much you have, its upto you.

2) im not too sure about the warehouse

3) Another option is to move furniture ourself. Is it advisable to drive cross country with 6 an 2 year old. -- Its a family decision

I am not too sure of your story, but stuff once discarded can be brought again with time. Since you are starting new life in a new country the question is on you how much luggage you want to bring along.
I am not sure are you downsizing or not and if living within down town the apartment sizes are small.
