I was looking if someone can help me understand process of entering Canada through work permit better.
I am currently in US over an L1Bvisa and got an offer from one of the Canadian employer. They are ready to prepare workpermit for me, so that I can work for them at Canada.
Before I accept the new job offer, I wanted to understand below and wanted to see if some can guide me.
Things I would request guidance are:
1) Since I am on L1B US visa(which mean I can work only with my current employer), how early should I move from US to Canada once I resign with my current US company. Do I have to move out of US very same day, or I can move after a week or so?
2) After my Canadian employer gets my workpermit processed and mails me the same, will I need visitors visa to enter Canada or I can enter just by showing my workpermit?
3) After I enter Canada over workpermit and starts working for my new employer, what type of Canadian visa will I have to apply for my wife, so that even she can work at Canada(she dsnt have any arranged employment @ Canada)
4) After reaching Canada over workpermit, how soon can I apply for Canadian PR and how long will it take for processing?
I would request expert to please advice me over above points, as I have to understand all these before I accept the offer from Canadian employer. Please do advice.
