Moving from Europe ( Germany ) to Canada

Hey people,

Me and my wife are planning to move to Canada from Germany via Express Entry/PR, specifically to Vancouver.
Trying to figure out some questions for me, maybe you can advise based on your experience

1. Does it make sense to move all your good with you such as:
a) furniture: tables, chairs, bed. we don't have anything expensive, but just some nice stuff we love
b) electronics: tv, PlayStation, kitchen machine, all of the different stuff for cooking. I heard there could be some issues with different voltage and that's why it's not advisable to take a lot of electronics with your from Europe
c) Sports equipment: bikes, snowboards, dumbells.
d) Clothes

I contacted a few logistics companies and the price for a container is around 4-5k which is a lot and I'm not sure if it worth it. Perhaps, selling all the stuff here and buying the same in Canada will be easier/cheaper? Considering, that for the first couple of months probably we will be living in the tmp flat, while lookng for something long term.

What's is your experience and advice? Maybe some suggestions on the logistics companies.

Most people in this forum will tell you to sell most of the stuff before moving to Canada and buy new. For me, I shipped my stuff (furniture, small appliances, kitchen utensils and clothes to Canada once my new home is finalised.

Wouldn't bring furniture, kitchen stuff especially appliances, exercise equipment except probably snowboard. Other than stuff that you need you can ship some stuff that you like/want as long as it's light and relatively small.
