Hey all!

So I currently hold an LMIA sponsored closed work permit in Canada after doing my first two year IEC. Unfortunately the company that sponsored me closed a few months ago, so I applied for the 3rd year IEC so that I could start working again. I got my PoE letter and plan on flying back to Canada next week (I left for a couple weeks once I received PoE). My question is, there's still 8 months on my previous visa but obviously I can't work on that visa anymore, when I fly back to Canada, will it be like my first IEC where I just show health insurance, PoE, passport and proof of funds, or will they require additional information on my previous visa/the company closing etc? I brought my previous work permit with me just incase, just curious if I need to prepare anything more or what to expect.

Shouldn’t be an issue. You are actually following immigration laws and following the terms of your LMIA based closed WP. They closed, you stopped working and no ability to work for another employer for the rest of the time remaining on the CWP.

Thanks! Yeah Ive been told previously that they won't really ask much about it just why im changing visas and that's it, but just want to be safe/prepared as there's lots of confusion at the borders on IECs currently!
Don't want any reason to not get let in, I have an apartment and all my things there xD
