Hi All,
I recently moved from US to Canada on a work permit. I had my household goods shipped from the US and had provided shipping company with BSF168A (Goods to follow).
At the border, I exported car from US and temporarily imported into Canada. I received a BSF715 / B15 form for $0 indicating my car VIN (stamped) along with FORM1 (stamped) at the border. I had presented BSF186 (Goods to accompany) and BSF186A (Goods to follow) documents, however I was told that I am just a temporary resident and they will not stamp on any of these documents as it is not required.
I went to customs and cleared my arrived goods after they stamped on the shipping manifest document. However, both BSF186 and BSF186A still has no stamps on it.
[1] Is this process correct? Would there be issues when I move back to the US, given that these documents don't have stamps except the shipping manifest?
[2] When I move back to the US in the future, how can I import my car back to the US from Canada?
Thanks!
