Planning to move to Canada in 2021. Got around 10 years of work experience and will be attempting IELTS soon. Current work profile is indirect tax scope for clients globally in handling end to end process right from transition to compliance activities. Would prefer to get a job offer and move accordingly. Is it possible?

Companies prefer PR holders and normally don't give out job offers to candidates outside canada.

Many thanks Navin for confirming :) If I get a PR through express entry will it be possible to try to get a job offer after that?

Not necessarily impossible but generally unless someone has very unique skills not readily available in Canada employers are reluctant to make any offers until someone has landed as a PR and is in the country. This Is because until someone has landed the COPR is just a piece of paper and there is no commitment for someone to turn up so employers don’t want to waste time waiting. And then there is the Canadian experience challenge a whole different discussion

Pre COVID some might of recommended a soft landing to network a few employers but given that is currently discouraged / not allowed plus 14 day quarantine it is currently not a practical option.
