Hello,
I am wondering if it's possible to move to Canada before getting the PPR or CoPR. The 6 month deadline since the eAOR is ending more or less at the same time when I would like to move to Canada.

Can I come to Canada as a visitor, then finish the PR process inland? I know as a visitor I can stay up to 6 months, but I'm afraid about the changes in address.

Thanks.

You can't move to Canada until you have the COPR. All you can do is visit for now (which means you can't bring in all of your belongings or appear as if you're moving here permanently).

Note that a six month visit is not guaranteed. How long you are allowed into Canada is determined by the CBSA officer at the border.

Thanks. I understand that I can't bring a lot of stuff, and I'm not planning to do it or do anything permanent until I get the COPR. But I would like to know that it's possible to do it technically and legally. I have found that http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1018&top=16 but I don't find any information on what to do if we get the COPR while we are in Canada. It's not practical to move back to the home country just to get the paper.
