Hi everyone.
I applied for a TRV for my mother in the United Arab Emirates and unfortunately it was rejected. The reasons for rejection are as follows:
- You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. I reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including
* Immigration status in your country of residence
* Purpose of visit
- Other reasons
* Ties to your country of residence
It was a bit shocking because she has recently traveled to the UK as well as Switzerland. We had submitted a letter from her employer stating that she would return on the completion of her visit (approx 20 days). Unfortunately she is a resident of the United Arab Emirates and so she is not a citizen of the country. So immigration status in country of residence is out of the question.
I had also provided tickets for her dates of travel but had not submitted any proof of hotel bookings. Does submitting proof of hotel bookings help? I had applied through VFS; Should I try applying online instead?
Thanks for your help.
