Hi there,

Last year we my wife and I applied to bring my mother in law to visit us for 3 weeks here in Vancouver, but for some reason her visa was denied, mother in law is retired she used to work for the Colombian government, we both work here in Canada making about 100,000 a year, we have some savings and are covering all the expenses so she can come, based on the embassy's answer last year was that she didn't meet the requirements, also my wife forgot to add the savings statement and the tax declaration, my question is I know we qualify I just need some direction in how to successfully applied again.

Thanks in advance for your help and time.

Hi,

To be successful, your mom-in-law must demonstrate that she has strong ties to her home country..... for example, she owns property or land/lease agreement + family ties + she earns a pension so she must return to continue earning a pension + she has a good financial situation + any previous travel history will help.

If you post the previous refusal reasons + list of documents that were submitted then it will be easier to advise

Cheers
