Hi all,

New to this forum & haven't been able to find anything on this topic so far, but hope someone can help!

I'm interested in moving to Canada (based in the UK at the moment) & I'm currently working as an employed Mortgage Broker. The occupation seems to show up under NOC code 1114 as "Other financial officers" & skill level A. Looking through the requirements, it looks like I'll need to get a few more years experience under my belt before I can get considered for Express Entry but my questions is, has anyone successfully obtained PR as a Mortgage Broker?

I'm curious as to how to go about it, assuming my UK mortgage qualifications will mean nothing in Canada & I'll need to obtain the necessary license to carry on in this industry if I were to move.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi

In general acquiring a Canadian license to practice your profession in Canada is not a prerequisite to obtaining PR..same applies for physicians for example...as long as you can prove you're eligible for express entry ..have the necessary work experience...language. educational degree..etc...then you can apply

Going forward once you're invited to apply and eventually get approved...then you look into how you can get a license to practice or certifications etc...
