Please i am new here.
I need more clarification on the status of my application.

My wife submitted at Mississauga around September last year and i have been able to track the progress of the application through the cic website.
These are the current status of the application: For my wife she applied as a sponsor and on that it reads DECISION MADE, for mine it has been showing in progress for two months now. Please i need more clarification on this and how long do you think I have to wait to get a status update for cic. Thank You.

that means the sponsor has been approved and the applicant's application is currently being reviewed.

how long it takes for the application to be finalized depends on what visa office is processing the applicaiton and whether they will request additional documents.

I don't know if it takes this long to verify eligibility of an applicant. From the cic portal it says that they have started processing my application on the 13th of January, Its exactly three months today and still no word from the cic office. My wife called sometimes last month and she was told that the application has been sent to the acara visa office. please does anyone know how I can follow up on the progress of the application. Thanks a bunch.

CIC's new target is to get everyone done in 12 months, so you can hope to be done by September.

Before that, the processing time for Ghana was 16 months, so 80% of cases filed at the same time you did should be done by early 2018.
