Hello friends.
I have applied for a visitor visa for my mom. I'm a venezuelan citizen and my mom too. I did all the paperwork for her. I'm currently an International Student living in Ottawa. I always had all my applications approved. I want her to visit me for my graduation on June 18, so I did all her paperwork.
I have submitted her application for a 2-week visit:
- Passport and Travel History (She has an American Visa and she was in US 2014 for tourism)
- Proof of funds (Not needed since we applied under the CAN+ program, however, I submitted my bank statements to support her)
- Letter of Invitation, with my passport, my aunt's passport (canadian citizen) because I live with her, proof of enrollment saying I'm graduating in June, my study permit and my own letter.
- She currently lives in Colombia on a Temporary Status (I think this might have been the problem since in Venezuela there is a bad situation, but she is 100% legal there)
- Marriage Certificate
- Purpose of travel: I created a "schedule of stay" with the activities to do since I did not want to book any trips before she had her visa.
She is self-employed as she is an Engineer, and she is working as a consultant for some companies in Bogota. However, she just moved there (January) sho basically she is just settling there.
The letter she got had the following:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
(Not sure why this has anything to do, as my two brothers live with her)
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation. (Self-employment not feasible)?
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status. (Current status of her in Colombia)?
I don't know what to do, and I really want to have her for my graduation...
If anyone could suggest ANYTHING we should do in order to re-apply, it will be awesome. I guess I will also try to find professional advice for her too.
Thanks
