Module of IELTS for Express entry

Hi There,

I was wondering if someone can advise me on my doubts.

Which module of IELTS require to apply through express entry for Canada.

I have applied Academic to have IELTS test but one of my friend told me to apply through express entry would accept only for the candidates who has General training of certification. Is this true? Do I really have to have Genera training of IELTS or Academic certification of IELTS also work?

Only General is accepted. Yes - you really have to take General. If you submit Academic IELTS results your application will be refused.

Are you applying for skilled immigration ( FSW, FST, CEC, Caregiver, etc etc) or as student ?

If skilled immigration, then its General Training module for IELTS. If your migrating for education, then Academic may apply.

For immigration, you need IELTS General and for Academic Purposes, IELTS Academic
