Mistakes on my Post-Graduate Work Permit

I submitted the application for my WP online on 12 Jan'15 (Monday). However, I just realised that I have made several mistakes on the application.

(1) I submitted a scanned copy of my old passport (expiring March 2015) instead of my new passport (I only received the new passport around 20 Jan'15).

I did not know that the CIC will not issue any WP beyond the expiry of the passport. I just learnt about this last night when a friend told me. I was told that I could still submit the scanned copy of the new passport via the case specific enquiry form online.

I am not sure if I should do that or just wait for CIC response or request.

(2) I made a mistake on the generic form. Under the education section, I was asked to fill in the date for the date of commencement of my programme and the finishing date. I typed "January 2013" instead of "January 2014" for the commencement date!

My program was actually a one year PGD, from Jan 2014 to December 2014. I am not sure if I could resubmit a new form to replace the form. And if so, will that cause me to be brought to the back of the queue again!

Is such a typo likely to cause a refusal?

In short, should I just wait for the response of CIC or try to correct them? Based on the processing time on their site, I should be getting a response by next week!

Could any senior kindly provide any advice or in-sight?

Totally confused and frustrated right now!

You should have waited until you get your new passport to apply. CIC will not issue a PGWP in an expired passport or beyond the expiry date. They may issue the visa until March 2015, or may not at all. I am sorry but you will have to wait and see what they do.As for applying for another PGWP .....I do not know if that is possible.Call them and find out.....
