Mistake in UCI number

I made a mistake in my PR Renewal application, I put wrong UCI number, called CIC they said not a big deal, they have information on the application that they can use to look up the correct UCI number, and that I am not the first one to make this mistake, a lot of people make this mistake.

My question, has anyone made this mistake? and will it delay the application process? Or CIC would be able to correct the number and process the application like I was told.
