I think I have made a mistake but I'm not sure. Hope someone can help me.

My wife was refused a tourist visa for USA twice but was subsequently granted one.

She has answered yes to question 1 of the visa refusal but no to question 2 of the visa refusal. We have submitted schedule A upfront. Is this correct or should I raise a CSE immediately if I have made a mistake?

I raised a CSE 19 days ago when my work references got jumbled and havent received a reply other than an auto reply.

what was Q2 ?

Dont worry about getting a reply. It happens for many people. Check your spam. For me it was in SPAM since the reply came in French (some google settings)

Q1: Has XXX been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or PR visa (including a CSQ or PNP) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

Q2: Has XXX ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

Please advise what I need to do.

A much as I can understand and to be on the safe side I answered yes to both questions and gave reasons and date of refusal, mine was USA as well.

Since she was refused a VISA then you should answer YES to both questions.

I would raise a CSE and explain the situation, that you initially though that since she eventually got the visa you thought answering NO to Q2 was OK, but now in retrospect you're worried that this may be seen as misrepresentation and you'd like to proactively set the record straight.

Thanks. What should I say in the CSE? Will this cause an issue since I am trying to rectify it proactively and dont want to be accused of misrepresentation?

I would raise a CSE with another Sch A, now correctly filled out and attache a mini LoE (or just explain on the body of the email/form) saying that you now understand that you've made a mistake in your initial Sch A and would like to rectify it proactively so that there is no risk of misrepresentation.

To be fair I think the officer looking at your form would just understand that you've made an honest mistake and let it slide, as you're not trying to HIDE anything... But if you want to be 100% right then submit another Sch A form.

The schedule A that we sent upfront is correct. The statutory question in the post ITA EE form was incorrect.

The Sch A form has statutory questions (part 6). If those are correct and your mistake was only in the actual web form then I would not worry as Sch A will supersede anything you may have answered in the web form.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. The schedule A was correct but not the web form. I have sent a CSE anyway.

I have uploaded my documents and received my eAPR on June 17th, when answering my statutory I think I may have selected status wrongly as 15 years ago I was denied a US student Visa. What do I do Kindly suggest.

Hey, I have a similar situation.

I would like to know more about your case.

Can you tell me how did you raise your CSE, how did you explain?
and also How much time did it take for you to get through the process?

Thanks,
Tilak

In question 1 above, I answered "No", while in question 2, I answered "Yes", and provided the reason for the U.S. visa refusal. At the point of filling my application both questions sound differently hence, while my responses to the questions. Who knows whether it will cause a problem for my application? thanks.
