Sorry folks, I am not getting answer under the Settlement thread so posting my question here.

Dear All,
We are new immigrant in Canada, landed week ago and our Port of Entry (POE) was Montreal Airport. Post landing, we visited to Service Canada Office next day to apply for SIN, but to our surprise, Service Canada Personnel highlighted a major mistake done by Immigration Officer in Montreal (POE) that he mentioned Application no. EXXXXXXXXX instead of pertinent Document No. in all of our passports against entry stamps. She confirmed that although all the information is matching, she still cannot process our SIN as Document No. is required to be mentioned on the passport against entry stamps in order to initiate SIN process. She advised us to email/phone the Immigration department to get this corrected.
Does this kind of blunder happens normally, how much time it takes for correction? I have emailed to the immigration department however they responded that use our IRCC Web form and resubmit your request, however I am unable to find the relevant topic under which I need to submit my request.
I would appreciate if anybody of you assist me on above.
Thanks in anticipation.
