misspelled last name...what shld i do?

my surname has been misspelled on my visa...is that a problem? if yes plz tell me what shld i do?

1-
You can call the number 1 888 242 2100 to get in touch with a CIC agent.

2-
I had the wrong passport number in my visa and my student permit.
I learnt from the guide english/information/applications/guides/5218ETOC.asp (on CIC site web) that no correction is done to the visa, only the student permit can be corrected.
You can take a look at thread "Wrong passport number in visa and student permit" to have some ideas and pitfalls to avoid.

I forgot to add that the information I have provided would be applicable if you are already in Canada.
I don't know what you have to do if you are still in your country.

thanx a lot for the info...i'll try to contact CIC tomm...heard it wont be a problem..i just wanted to cross check it.
