I am from Nepal and my spouse is Canadian citizen. We got married on the last December. We have submitted our Spouse sponsership application 34 days ago at cic office Mississauga via mail. We got delivery message by currier office but we don't get any application receive message and processing message from cic office in our email yet !!! We are really confused and feeling sad , we cant stay separately for long time. Please anybody let us know , when we will get application status and application receive message from cic office and how long it will take to processing??? Please let us know we want to be together very soon

did you guys do OUTLAND sponsorship or INLAND - are you in Nepal right now???

If you are in Nepal right now - that means you're doing OUTLAND SPONSORHIP - your Canadian wife will be approved as a sponsor within 40 days if the package was complete

if you are currently IN Canada with your wife - you would have done INLAND application - and you wont receive anything for about a year.

if you provided an email they will email you, if not they will mail it to you

i am out land applicant , right now i am in Nepal . we had submit our application almost 37 days ago via cic office Mississauga, but we dont get any response from cic office till. even application receipt number !!! some people said they got application receipt number with in 2 weeks of application submission. why such difference in difference case , what is the maximum time for waiting ?

And in last comments ,someone describe about threads for march !!! Couldn't understand about threads,please let me know

There is no application receipt number. The receipt number is the number for your payment of the package.

Once the file gets into the system and a certain period of time passes, you MAY sometimes (not always) be successful in using this to check the status in eCas. If you want to check, and your sponsor knows his/her UCI, it can be used to log into the system too.

CIC does not send out messages telling the sponsor it received the application package. If everything is complete, it would normally (but not all the time) send out an email to the sponsor acknowledging receipt (called AOR or AOR1) later saying that sponsorship process will begin. This varies from 1 month to a bit longer than that, up to when you actually receive SA. 37 days is not too long. Soon in a few more weeks, sponsorship approval will be complete for typical cases if the sponsor is eligible.

I know it's tough waiting, and with the nervousness whether you missed something or did something wrong on the application. You have to relax a bit, because there is nothing you can do.

But more waiting will continue, so you cannot breakdown so early so easily. From SA to AOR2, and then a long stretch of time with no feedback, thinking when VO will ask for your passport.

i mean we dont get any client id number/unique client id identifier or Application Number/Case Number yet to view our application status ? so my curocity is what time does takes generally to get such number to view our application status??? please let me know

I already answered in detail how to do that.

You use your own UCI number if you know it to check eCas. You can see your sponsorship side as well as your wife's application side if that is already in the system. You are already PR or citizen, so you must have your own UCI. You don't need your wife's newly assigned UCI to see anything. Do more searches on the internet to learn more.

If you do not know your own UCI, then some people have success using the payment receipt number. If nothing happens, it means the file has not been built up in eCas yet.

I cannot be clearer than that...it's simple as what I described. If you don't know about eCas, again google it and follow the instructions.

When your sponsor gets approval or SA, she will be able to use her earlier UCI and check status. she will have to wait more than a month to get SA and to check the application status. Namaste.
