I applied for CHC London in June 2008, got payment confirmation in September 2008. Later I was requested document submission, which i submitted in March 2009 and additional docs in April 2009, but until today i never receive any assessment or reassessment letter from CHC-London let alone Medical request. Is it something to be worried about?

Should i take some sort of action or go with the flow. Unfortunately until today i thought AOR means Acknowledgment of Receipt but all of a sudden someone point out its Assessment of Record. My online status still shows that they are processing my application since September 2008, which implies nothing.

Just a side note: i applied for CAIPS in June 2009 and it showed 1 against PS, so should i assume i am on the safe side and should keep waiting? every expert and especially Leon and PMM replies will be most appreciated.

Generally after submiting ur 2nd stage of docs, something should come up by 4-5 month's time. Given another 2 month's for admin delays, urs should've been here by Nov 09 (as ur last docs were send in Apr 09).

Thus, there is an inordinate delay here. I suggest, kindly send an email to the CHC asap, asking for an update.

Thanks Qorax and mjm for your replies. As per your suggestion i'll then shoot a query on Monday. But even if i receive the AOR, then that means another 8 months wait for medicals?

Seems that the out of sequence will kill my time line.

Anyway thanks guys.

Biblo,
I think it would be better in your interest to wait until the Christmas is over. I would even extend and say wait until Easter is over (in order to be on the safe side).

Because if you send a query now, it will get flagged for response when Christmas is on the edge and then New Year, so you may run the risk of loosing your query with no response. So better wait few more days when they are back to work and then submit.

Maybe Leon or PMM can comment better as they may know the CHC schedule.

This post may not help you with your queries, but please do me a favor of explaining some new things I have seen in your post.

1. Acknowledgement of Receipt I thought too it is; now it's Assessment of Record? What do this mean?
2. 1 aganst PS in your CAIPS? please give details.
3. What is that assessment or reassesment letter that you mentioned you are expecting to receive from London CHC?

Thanks.

1- Assessing your Documents to check your eligibility score.
2- PS is paper screening (mean documents submitted to them) and 1 means pass.
3- When you send the initial application a preliminary score is set and when you send them complete supporting documentation a reassessment takes place and actual score based on your documentation is given, which is then sent to you as AOR (Assessment of Record).

Thanks Biblio. So, you mean to say that the letter which I received from London Visa office after I sent the complete supporting documents is the Assesment of Record AOR? My e cas status states that Visa office review is completed and they started processing on July 31, 2009, does this mean that I passed the 67 points assessment stage?

Thanks Biblio. Your case is really strange. You have passed the paper screening as your CAIPS says, What barred them from sending you the AOR? BAckground check could never be a reason as people are receiving the AOR firtst before the commencement of the BC.

Prabably you might have done this already, but If I were in your situation, I would send them the copy of your CAIPS, and ask London CHC why up to this time you havent received the AOR. I really hope for any development in your case, as I cannot hope so much for any update with my application not until 2008 applicants receive their medical requests.

I receive the response to my case specific inquiry from CHC. They state 2 lines saying
my file is pending for officer's review and that i should not contact them unnecessarily unless there is critical information to be provided to them.

It appears that 2008 applicants also have long way to go. 2009 applicants were the fastest in the history of Canada immigration, the train i missed.

Don't worry Biblo, You are on the same train of 2007 and earlier applicants. Expect that you'll get eligible for entry to CAD and PR in 2015.

Again 2015
