Missing info on COPR

My wife just received her COPR earlier today and she noticed that her Place of Birth is missing. All other info (i.e. First/Last Name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth, and Citizenship) that accompanying sheet of paper identifies as important is correct. Should I contact VO? Or should we just ignore this? Thank you.

Just ignore - it was the same for mine, and the border officer that did the landing was a bit surprised (the Place of birth was blank, it only stated the country a little further), but it was no problem. He asked me to fill it out manually, and entered it in the system, and that was it. No big deal... and since you have to bring the passport anyway, it's not a problem.
Good luck with the landing - but it's a very easy process, no worries!

I know - it was the same for me! checking ecas like mad, and when it went to "decision made" I could not believe it... then when I finally got the COPR and had it in my hands, I was a little numb!
Landing at the border was funny - the officer kept on telling me how un-excited I seem to be ... I was just not sure it was actually happening, and didn't want to be excited and disappointed later on!! so when he finally said that it was done, it was such a relief! now I just enjoy saying that I became a PR of Canada for any reason!

It's amazing how 'little' someone needs to be this happy. All \the pain and suffering for a sheet of paper and a sticker in the passport... it sill hasn't hit either of us; I guess that's about to come once my wife lands in Canada. Enjoy your new experiences, they are well-deserved

My husband has the same issue with his birthplace missing. Our lawyer said it sometimes happens if the birthplace name is a longer than normal name ,which was the case here. They advised us just to mention it when we land and it may then be noted but won't be a problem.

Thank you The birthplace is 8 characters long, which is not too long IMO. Should be fine

same here! not long, still not on the COPR... the border officer just joked about it when I landed - saying that really - knowing where I was born was not that important to London, maybe they thought that the country was enough! and he added that they might have been distracted by the sunshine, or something equivalent... it was definitely not an issue, he had me write it down on the paper, he added it in the computer, and that was it... seems to be a fairly common thing after all!

Phew.. good thing that it's a minor error. I got quite upset with myself due to the fact that I didn't double check EVERY single thing at the VO. I got so excited when I saw visa at my wife's passport that I was literally unable to feel my legs. All those ups and downs...

Regardless, it's all said and done. Now the tough part comes when she lands in Canada... challenges of everyday life, new people, new language, new customs, new lifestyle, new culture... but we've spent a year together and had our share of trying times... we'll be OK
