missing including birth certificate

I sent my application for citizenship and I forgot to include my kids' birth of certificate, so can I send them alone or I should wait until they contact me ?

As a government office, IRCC receives a lot of correspondences every day, so why add "fuel to the fire" and create a potential for confusion. Also, if there is another issue (like another missing document or signature or date) on your second application that you overlooked, it will just get returned like your first package. So I think the best thing would be to wait for your current package to get returned with all issues identified, correct all of the identified issues, double-check it, then remit it back to them.
