We (husband + I) are in the process of applying for citizenship, and are hoping for some advice from experts on this forum. We had work permits in 2017 and in July 2017, we attempted to activate our PR status by crossing the border at the rainbow bridge, but the immigration officials did not complete the landing formalities as they were very crowded on that particular day. They did not stamp our passports, and I don't remember if they scanned our passports, so we don't know if the entry exists in the CBSA records. We subsequently completed our landing formalities at the Etobicoke Service Canada office and became PR in August 2017. We are now applying for our citizenship, and I am not sure if record of this exit/entry exists within the CBSA system? I also tried viewing my i94 records online and that visit does appear on my records as an entry and a same day exit at the rainbow bridge. My husband's i94 record does not show up anything. Probably because I had a US visa at that time and he didn't. Other than this one trip, I only have 3 other trips to the US and 1 trip to India and I have stamps for all of my trips, and my husband had only one trip to India and has the stamp for that one trip. The only record we have for this trip is the photograph I took of the form that the US immigration officer gave us which states 'refused admission into the United States' and has our names and dates of birth along with the date of the trip. I do plan on disclosing this as a single day trip and including a copy of this form and add in the LoE. My question is: will this missing stamp from our passports and potentially CBSA records cause any issues? We do have more than 1500 days of physical presence in Canada, so hoping this one day trip won't make a huge difference.
