Missed deadline to pay Right of Permanenet Residence fees

Hi All,
I just came to know that I was sent a message in my EE portal on the 19th of November in regards to a payment towards Right of Permanent Residence fees. Unfortunately I missed the email notification and I came to know about the message today. The message instructs that the fees must be paid within 7. Could this lead to a refusal?

Its kind of lame excuse not to check your application online. As for me, I checked my application almost everyday before. At the same time, you got an email notification if there is a request in your file and even ghost update. But anyway, you can fill up the web form but you need to ready a letter of explanation to attached and you must have a good reason for it. As long as they didn’t give you refusal, then pay now also.
