I have just read ENF 2..I am now worried..

In 2006 I was in Canada and given an extension that I stupidly overstayed!! :-[ I was here for 15 months out of status! I was not deported or sent any kind of removal order..I left for 6 months of my own free will..I then returned and have maintained a valid status for over 18 months now..

On my application I stated that I lived in Canada on my list of Addresses, and that I remained in Canada on my explanation of our relationship..my dad also stated in his letter to CIC that my "visa expired" but I did not write the words "I was out of Status" and did not include a copy of my Visitors Record from that time....Is that Misrepresentation?

if you gave correct details of where you were living (regardless of status) then it is not misrepresentation!

so if you lived here 15 months out of status but wrote that you were here during those 15 months you are fine :)

Thanks! :D I thought it was better to "face the music" so to speak and not try and make out that I went home when I didn't! I thought that if I was an IO I would respect the honesty more than a lie! I made a HUGE effort to prove that I really did go home when I said I did too! I provided proof of address with bills/bank statements/letters from Benefit office in UK etc showing my dads address (where I stayed) for the whole 6 months..2 pieces of proof per month.. I hope thats enough for the IO to see that I did leave..oh plus flight details and boarding pass!

Having dealt with a serious possibility of misrep. What you explain here isnt anything to be worried about.

Thank you guys, I just hope the IO doesn't find me Inadmissible though..15 months is a long time out of Status..I hope the fact that I have managed to re-enter and kept a valid status since Dec 2008 will show that I dont intend to do it again..and I didnt work or study out of status!

Unlikley there will be a problem, if they dont call you for an interview (procedural fairness) you'll be fine. If they do bring all supporting documents. Explain it was hard to leave the relationship for any length of time, how in love you are, but you chose to do the right thing and apply properly and correct your status. You'll be fine. The fact you did correct your status goes a long long way in your favor.

I just got an email from London..they don't need any additional documents as yet, I had emailed asking if they need a copy of my new Visitors Record that I have just been issued..so they must not need my old VR either :)

Good stuff!! Looks like you're almost there. I land on Tuesday here at the Local CIC. My app will have taken 3 weeks shy of 5 years. There was a possibility of misrepresentation on my app but after making submissions, and taking serious steps to correct the problem they waived the misrep and let my application process. My misrep whilst potentially serious was not intentional and that i took steps to correct everything my lawyer said was the right course of action and shows the officer that once i realised the mistake i did everything i could to set the record straight.

Yea it's been a wild ride 2 more days then it's all over. 24 months and I'll apply for citizenship and become part of the system again. Then I'll never have to deal with immigration ever again. No PR renewal for me, I'm going straight to citizenship. I'm still having trouble accepting it's almost over.

We talked to the lady who is going to land me last week. She told us to get there nice and early and if it isn't busy she'll land me right away. She said it'll take 10 - 15 mins. Then I'll walk out of that office change my sin over from the temp one, walk into my bank and get my mortgage approval (I have to land before they can finalize) then we're off house hunting
