Hi Everyone,
The reason I'm writing this letter is ask help and seek advise whether I'm traveling by land or by air.
It is cheaper for me to travel by land with my family we are 4 in the family. We are traveling
there as an immigrant with permanent residency in Winnipeg Manitoba. Anyone here who has an
experience crossing the border in Minnesota to Canadian border I would gladly appreciate it ? I am going to put a hitch trailer in my
SUV car honda crv and carrying 50inch flat tv and some other stuffs like clothes etc., is this applicable
without having problems at the border. It is said that first time arriving in Canada as permanent residency
is tax exempted. I just don't want to be in a hussle when traveling the border. Thank you in advance. Andy

If you fill out the B4 ahead of time you should be in good shape. If you plan to import your car, you have some reading to do on that too. Start here:

Good luck!

Thanks. Is there a tax exemption for a permanent resident first time to arrive in Canada? Thanks
