Hello!
It's been a bit since I last posted and I recently visited the Canada Immigration website and I think they have changed some things, including a checklist that I've very confused over. I was hoping someone could clear up some questions I have.
The big one is Income:
I was told a few months back that there is no minimum if I was applying for a spouse (We have no children, no grandchildren, and no one else coming with us, it's just my wife and me) but the checklist is confusing and stating I prove my income presently?
My question on top of that is that I'm living in the US (So I'm applying for Outland) presently. Will US tax return information suffice if I have to prove my income? And what is the minimum required? The last time I posted I read something along the lines of 39k. Obviously, I am not a rich person and make NOWHERE NEAR THAT, so that being said, is it possible for me to add a co-sponsor like I did for my American Immigration? (Which was a friend that had income to equal both of ours to over 39k). Just confusing because it will be implied that I will have to leave my job in the US to move to Canada and have to find a new job once I get back.
Basically, the checklist is very confusing and I was hoping someone who has done Outland whilst living in the United States could guide me through it or if there was a simplified version someone has made up on this forum I could be linked too?
IF there is a requirement for income, does it differ by province?:
The plan is to move straight from Florida to BC, but if we have too, we might have to go to Ontario for 6-12 months prior to moving out west.
Random out of left field question:
What is required to import a US Car that has payments still being made on it? We just got the car November of Last year as out other two died on us, we would love to bring it, but we won't have it paid off in time obviously and have 6 years to pay. Is it going to be hard to bring the car with me? I want to avoid selling it back to pay off the debt, as we really love it, but moving to a place where we're happy is far more important. Any advice on that front would be great but it's not what I'm most concerned about right now as cars come and cars go.
I hope that makes sense! Thanks for the help in Advance!
