You must be living in Canada in order to sponsor. You can fill out the forms now while you are with your spouse because your spouse has to fill out some of them too. Then you take all the forms with you to Canada and best that you work for another month or two before you send them in so you can include copies of pay slips. There is no minimum income required but you still need to show that you can provide for your spouse without ending up on welfare.

Also it is not an option to leave again and go back to stay in India with your spouse after you have sent the forms in because immigration requires that you continue to live in Canada during the processing time and if they find that you are not, they will cancel your application. You can go to visit your spouse for a couple of weeks but not more.

She can certainly apply for a visitor visa but there is no guarantee that she will get it. Especially as she is your wife and they may not believe that her intention is just to visit you.

You can support her application by writing her a letter of invitation, promising you will support her while she is in Canada and make sure that she does not overstay.

If she gets a visit visa and you go to Canada with her, you have another option to sponsor her which takes longer but can get her an open work permit after about 4 months. She should however not leave Canada during the processing time which is currently 26 months.

Thank You so much again ! I am planning to return to Canada by end of Feb 2016(this month) then would try for visitor Visa for her so that we can apply from Canada. I hope this does not put and negative impact on her immigration application if her visitor visa is denied.
