Min cash required to proof financial ability at first landing

Hi guys,
There is a paper (intruction) with our visas from visa office which says you have to have sufficiant money to proof you can support you and your family. How much money should it be ? I'm going to bring 5000 USD (family of two). Is it sufficiant for them?
