I just need an advice if someone has any knowledge regarding the case

I did my MBA and was a 16 months program (usually 2 years at most of the universities) because we did not had any semester or summer break. For the PGWP, the university provided us the letter stating the 16 months time period and I along with many other classmates were able to secure a 3 years PGWP from CIC.

One classmate got it for just 16 months and when he contacted CIC, they said that he got it accordingly as per the 16 months program. He told the CIC officer on the helpline that his other classmates got it for 3 years and on that the CIC officer asked him to provide an example (UCI number and an authorization letter to access the file) from any of his classmates.

Just wanted to know, if I provide my UCI number and an authorization letter to him for CIC to access my file so that he can forward it with his application, can this effect my PGWP's validity? Can this create an issue for me?

Thank you in anticipation for your assistance.

From my opinion i can say it depends on the cic officer to issue the workpermit for 3 years and even 1 year. Its not a guarantee.

And there will be no problem for your workpermit. As once the workpermit is issued they cannot cancel it or change the validity.
