Middle name cut off?

I was just curious if anyone's middle name is cut off on their COPR/PR card. My son's middle name is eight letters long and only seven letters appear. It is frustrating as now everything else (OHIP, SIN etc) also shows his name cut off.

I have no first hand experience, but I have read that it is not a problem. It's just a character limit, a space issue, for that field in the database. Curious though, when you signed up for OHIP and SIN, did they not ask you to confirm that everything (name, address, DOB, etc) was entered correctly?
